Fundraising Challange

‘Rough winds do shake the darling buds of May’ – and while we saw our share of thunderstorms last month, the most electrifying sight was watching our darling buds raise a staggering £2,224.90 for Julia’s House children’s hospice. This wonderful charity deserves every penny – raised through mufti days, football, a treasure hunt, car wash, auction, cake sale and raffle – and more. Long may they continue to bring sunshine to young lives shaken by the rough winds of life-threatening and…

Treasure Hunt

Five rowboats of scurvy knaves answered Astute’s booty call recently, setting off to land on Treasure Island (known to the local cannibals as “Bomo”) to raise funds for Julia’s House children’s hospice. Each crew of four was tasked with finding treasures ranging from takeaway menus (the sea makes you mighty hungry) to a single flip-flop (for Peg-Leg Pete), whilst getting locals to perform handstands and Charlie’s Angels poses – and ticking off dozens of venues along the way. 50 pieces of…

Bake Sale

May is going to be a big month for Julia’s House children’s hospice if we’ve got anything to do with it! Already this month we’ve hosted a bake sale and dedicated a Friday mufti day to the cause – bringing us up to £1564.50 already! If all that wasn’t enough, we’ve been running a raffle for the last six weeks which goes on until the end of the month AND we’re offering a paid day off for the person who raises the…

Scivvy Auction

Today we ran our much-anticipated Scivvy Auction in aid of Julia’s House children’s hospice and we are thrilled to say we raised a whopping £1,013.50! Twenty senior staff were auctioned off to the highest bidders in exchange for 2 hours of their time. We know that at least one lucky bidder will be using their time wisely by getting the MD to pay for drinks and pool. What the other Scivvies have in store only time will tell – although…

Charity Football Match In Aid Of Julia’s House

The second annual Mobility team v Rest of Astute charity football match took place yesterday at Fawcetts Field, home of New Milton Town Fc. After last year’s close 3-2 loss, the Rest of Astute team, looking the part in their brand-new strips, were out for revenge and showed great effort throughout, highlighted by a fantastic goal from outside the box from Dan. Their heroics were upstaged by Mobility’s Shane doing a Beckham and scoring from the halfway line though, and…

Inside Sales Team Raffle Incentive

Apparently, the word ‘Friday’ doesn’t derive from the name of a Norse goddess after all. According to our Inside Sales team, we’re told that it actually derives from “free day” – the day where bosses give their staff free wine, beer, cider, chocs, sweets, and for one lucky individual, headphones. Well, they were so convincing, we had to go along with it…
