Charity Football Match In Aid Of Julia’s House

The second annual Mobility team v Rest of Astute charity football match took place yesterday at Fawcetts Field, home of New Milton Town Fc.

After last year’s close 3-2 loss, the Rest of Astute team, looking the part in their brand-new strips, were out for revenge and showed great effort throughout, highlighted by a fantastic goal from outside the box from Dan. Their heroics were upstaged by Mobility’s Shane doing a Beckham and scoring from the halfway line though, and as injuries took their toll in the second half (forcing the Rest of Astute manager to take to the field in civvy shoes and trousers), the mighty Mobility XI eventually triumphed 10-5 to retain the trophy.

Once again the real winners were Julia’s House children’s hospice, for whom the match raised a whopping £260. Time to get in training for 2018…
