After the success of our first session a few weeks ago; another group of Astutians took to the water last week for Sunset Paddle Boarding. We are so lucking having the sea on our door step and this year we’re really making the most of it! Everyone who took part had a great time with the night being topped off with a beach barbecue in Sandbanks.
What better way to let off steam at the weekend than with a day’s paintballing with colleagues?! This weekend, a group of Astutians took to the Camouflage Paintball Adventure Centre to battle it out. From scaling the Gates of Mordor, traversing the Mayan Jungle and defending Death Valley, our teams use strategy and cunning to beat the competition. Needless to say there are a number of aches, pains and bruises today as temporary battle scars from a fantastic event. A…
This week we surprised our staff by organising a mouth-watering hog roast for the whole company. We believe it’s important for employers to recognise and reward their teams for their continued hard work. What better way to say thank you than with delicious food and an opportunity to eat, relax and socialise. A huge thank you to the team at Hog Roast BBQ for catering the event – beautiful food and great service. As you can see, our staff loved…
What a way to spend a Bank Holiday weekend!! 60 Astutians took to the New Forest Water Park to tackle the Aqua Obstacle Course. It was a fantastic day, awesome weather and great fun for everyone involved. A brilliant way for our teams to unwind from a busy week, splashing around out in the sun! Thank you to New Forest Water Park for hosting us – we can’t wait to do it again next year!
Living so close to the beach it would be rude not to take advantage of it!! Last week a team of Astutians went to Sandbanks for Sunset Paddle Boarding and a BBQ. Some were experienced, some had never done it before – either way, everyone got wet but had a great time. Thanks to the team at Poseidon Kite School for hosting us – we had a blast!!
A little birdie told me that our technical appointment setting team had a tee-rific night out at Mr Mulligans, Bournemouth putting themselves against each other to celebrate the end of a very successful quarter. Thank you to the team at Mr Mulligans, Bournemouth for hosting us and well done to everyone who took part in the incentive.
Living in Bournemouth, we are so lucky to have Britain’s best beach right here on our doorstep! Unfortunately, with the number of visitors to the town, the beach is often left in a mess, covered with rubbish that people are too lazy to carry to a bin. On Monday, a team of Astutians joined volunteers from across Bournemouth to work with Surfers Against Sewage to help clean up the seafront. It was great to be able to do our part…
Last week, Astutians channelled Mary Berry and Paul Hollywood to bake cakes for the Alzheimer’s Society Cupcake Day. £105 was raised from the event which will be used to support Alzheimer’s Society fight this awful disease. Thank you to everyone who baked (and ate!) cakes!
Astute was proud to support our colleague Andy Mather and the Saints Disabled Supporters Association in their participation in the Totton Carnival on Saturday. Well done to all those who took part and congratulations to Saints Disabled Supporters Association (SDSA) for being awarded 3rd place for their Mamma Mia themed entry
Last Saturday, a team of Astutians, “The Astute Warriors” took part in the Poole Park Dragon Boat Race. This fantastic event was organised by Stable Family Home Trust – Supporting adults with learning disabilities across Dorset & Hampshire. Everyone involved had an amazing day competing on the water and we’re already looking forward to signing up for next year’s event!!
